The 5th annual Long Beach Folk Revival Festival is set to take place on September 16th, 2017 from 11am to 10pm returning to Rainbow Lagoon Park just across from Shoreline Village and the Marina in Downtown Long Beach, CA. This beautiful ocean front location sets the perfect stage for showcasing the best in Folk, Roots, Americana, & Bluegrass music acts.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
We are going foot stomping, high energy fun this year at the 2017 Folk Revival Festival and we couldn’t be more pleased to share with you the very talented Lucero all the way from Memphis, TN who will be headlining the night with support from outlaw country legend Billy Joe Shaver, former Delta Spirit front man Matthew Logan Vasquez, The Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit | Scott H. Biram | Hogslop String Band | Jaime Wyatt | The Show Ponies | The Hooten Hallers | Ivory Deville | Valley Queen | Mapache | Travesura | Leather Tramp | The Hollow Trees | Have More Fun String Band & Introducing Katie Jo & The Mijos.
This family-friendly music festival will have something for everyone and in addition to the great music, all your favorites from last year are back including the Pie Eating Contest, Kids Area with Crafts, Music, Games, & the “Instrument Petting Zoo”, Craft Brews on tap & Gourmet Food Trucks & booths, Beard & Mustache Contest, Open Bluegrass Jam, Deering Banjo Contest, & more.

We will have a bike valet at the festival FREE of charge for you to park your bike and not have to worry about it. It will be attended by good people at Bike Loca at all times. The festival location is nestled right along a Class I Bike Path that connects to the LA River Bike Path as well as the Beach Path just below the Bluffs that takes you all the way to Belmont Shore. If you have to come by car we ask that you carpool with a friend! Getting to the festival by car could not be any easier and all you have to do is take the 405 Fwy to the 710 Fwy South and the 710 turns into Shoreline Village Dr. CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS
PARKING
Parking around Rainbow Lagoon Park is plentiful and there are many options. The most convenient parking is adjacent to the park in the LB Convention Center Parking Lot which is $10 for all day parking as well as Shoreline Village & The Marina parking lots.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need a ticket? And what is the cost?
Yes. This is a ticketed event, but Kids 12 & under as well as Seniors 75 & over are FREE! Please refer to the TICKETS page for more info.
What time does the show start?
Doors open at 11am. The first musical act starts at noon. The festival is over at 10pm.
What can I do after the festival is over?

Is there seating available?
General Admission tickets for this event do not guarantee a seat. Seating is limited so please arrive early. We will be letting all patrons bring a low backed chair or blanket to sit on this year although no personal chairs are allowed in the VIP section.
Where can I eat?
There will be gourmet food trucks & booths at our food court with a range of dining choices. No outside food or drink is permitted. More info on our vendors is on the Food & Craft Beer page.
Is alcohol permitted?
There will be several full service bars within the venue pouring your favorite local craft brews as well as hard liquor & wine. You may not bring alcohol into the venue and consumption of alcohol is not permitted in public spaces. See our Food & Craft Beer page for more details.
Can I bring a re-fillable water bottle?
Yes, we will have a cold water station available to all those who bring their own re-fillable water bottle.
Can I go in and out of the venue?
Yes you can go in and out of the venue freely and we encourage you to check out the local shops, businesses, and art galleries near by.
Is there an age limit to attend?
The Folk Revival Festival is an all ages event, but alcohol will be served throughout the festival premises to those with a valid ID showing they are 21 years of age.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are NOT allowed at the festival.
Is smoking permitted?
Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking areas or please step outside the event (at least 15 feet from the entrance) if you would like to smoke.
What items are NOT allowed inside the venue?

What happens if it rains?
In the unlikely event that there is rain, we suggest you dress appropriately. LB Folk Revival Festival is a ‘rain or shine’ event.
Will Recycling be available?
Yes, recycling is available and we encourage you to use them and help us move closer to being a Zero waste event. Help us keep the park clean by leaving with all you came with! Please do your part to keep our festival green!
Where is first aid located?
If you require first aid assistance, please visit the Medical booth next to the Kids Area. If it is an emergency, please call 911.
