Creekwood was formed in late 2012 in Nashville, TN when singer-songwriter duo Andrew McBride (guitar, lead vocals) and Cooper Nelson (banjo, vocals) teamed up with Bryan Hall (mandolin, vocals, bass) to form an original group reaching back to the roots of country music. After moderate success in the Nashville area, McBride and Nelson took the group west to Long Beach, CA where they teamed up with local musicians Mathias Chaidez (violin, vocals), Levi Duren (drums, vocals), and Rob Orr (bass, vocals). They hit the ground running, releasing their first EP in September of 2013 and playing numerous shows in the Orange County and Los Angelis area. They are truly an Americana band, drawing from styles such as Bluegrass, Old Time Country, Rock, and Blues. This unique blend of genres is proving to be a breath of fresh air in a music scene that is looking for innovators. Be sure to hop along for the ride, there’s always room for more!
